For anyone who desires to beat the high cost of fuel, extend the growing season (almost weedfree), in spring and fall (add from one to three months at both ends), and produce more crops, a portable hoop house may be the way to go.

The whole purpose of the range of residential greenhouses, an idea that began in the gardens at Heidelberg and continued throughout England, is to produce flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables at a season when, or in a climate where, nature never intended them to grow.
