The series of International Conferences on Chemical Thermodynamics (ICCTs) have been held under the auspices of IUPAC since 1969, rotating between Europe, North America, and Asia. The first conference, held in Warsaw, Poland, in 1969, was named the 1st International Conference on Calorimetry and Thermodynamics. Now, the circle has been closed as the 20th International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics, 3-8 August 2008, will again be held in Warsaw.
