The firm of Szyszkowitz + Kowalski was commissioned to rework an old building in Graz, Austria, for Kastner and Ohler Department Store. To exploit the building's corner location, the architects reworked the facade and added new glazing as well as high-level bridges. As much as possible, the old building's character was preserved while new elements were added to give it a more contemporary look.
