New software estimates the true cost of disposal

Whether you milk 100 cows or 1,000, moving manure from farm to field is an expensive proposition.
Exactly how much is unknown. The rule of thumb over the past decade has been about 0.7Acents/gal.
But a bit of detective work by two college interns for AgStar Financial Services in Baldwin, Wis., shows that could be off by as much as 90%.
