'Mecca beds row 'blown out of proportion'.

AN INDIAN Muslim scholar has spoken out about the controversy over beds at Dewsbury and District Hospital being moved to face Mecca.

In an interview with the Guardian and Herald, Mufti Shansul Huda Khan Misbahi sought to clarify the religious position on the matter, which he said had been "blown out of proportion".

Earlier this month national newspapers and the American news network Fox News ran stories about nurses being pulled from their duties to turn beds of Muslim patients towards Mecca five times a day.
