Reading coach Wally Downes is not seeking revenge when Sunderland head to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

But he is still desperate for victory to keep the Royals away from trouble in the Premier League.

Sunderland secured one of only three wins so far this season when Kenwyne Jones and Ross Wallace struck in a 2-1 Stadium of Light success in September.

Downes, relishing the first return fixture of the campaign, said: "You don't owe teams one, and you don't get revenge. We just look at it as the next game being the most important.
