HUELVA, ESPAÃA.-- Luz silenciosa, del cineasta Carlos Reygadas (México, DF, 1971) obtuvo el Colón de Oro, dotado de 60 mil euros, por mejor largometraje y el Colón de Plata a la mejor dirección durante la 33 edición del Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de esta ciudad, efectuado del 17 al 24 de noviembre.
Con tres largometrajes (Japón, Batalla en el cielo y Luz silenciosa), Reygadas es ejemplo y referencia positiva entre los mismos realizadores de México, como Arturo Ripstein, quien ensalza su trabajo:
