THEY have been scanning the depths for the pirate ship captained by theinfamous Scot for more than 300 years.
Now the final resting place of one of Captain William Kidd's last vessels hasbeen found - in crystalline waters only ten feet deep and only a few yardsoffshore.
The barnacled canons and anchors are believed to belong to the QuedaghMerchant, the ship abandoned by Kidd shortly before he was taken into custodyin 1699. They were discovered off the coast of the tiny Dominican Republicisland of Catalina.
