WINCHENDON - Selectmen voted to approve appointing part-time patrol Officer John Perreault to full-time status during their meeting last night.
Town Manager James M. Kreidler Jr. brought the appointment before the board, saying, "Holding a vacancy in the police patrol ranks is both costly and no longer necessary."
The move to appoint Officer Perreault to a full-time position will save the town in overtime costs, Mr. Kreidler said.
