Nearly six months after the city began talks with dozens of local business owners in Willets Point, Queens, about acquiring their land to make way for an ambitious redevelopment of the area, progress has been minimal.

Though the New York City Economic Development Corp. insists that it is doing "everything it possibly can'' to help owners relocate and to fairly compensate them, nearly a dozen of Willets Point's biggest businesses--which own nearly 60% of the land involved--are crying foul.
