When it comes to capturing spectacular landscape shots in the Drakensberg-uKhahlamba mountains, Durban photographer John Hone has few rivals.

There is something about the quality of his photography that simply outsparkles the competition.

No doubt this has much to do with his deep love for the mountains, which began in his boyhood, during regular family holidays to the Berg.

But in addition to mastering the skills of painting with light, Hone - now aged 60 - has also become a passionate ambassador for the conservation ...
