DAKOTA MINING CORPORATION RESUMES MINING OPERATIONS AT STIBNITE MINE

DENVER, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Dakota Mining Corporation (AMEX: DKT; Toronto) today reported that it has now received all State and Federal operating permits necessary to immediately resume operation of its Stibnite Mine. Stibnite Mine is a seasonal open pit heap leach operation located near Yellow Pine, Idaho. Production from the project in 1995 is expected to approximate 31,000 ounces of gold. Total production for the Company in 1995 is now expected to be 55,000 ounces of gold.
