Meghalaya set to exploit its hydro-electric potential
Shillong, Nov 30 (PTI) Faced with opposition over mining of uranium the Meghalaya government has decided to tap its hydro-electric potential to tide over the severe power crisis in the state.
The state government, which is in the process of amending its power policy, has floated expression of interest (EoIs) and so far over 30 big players have evinced interest in investing in hydro-electric projects.
