A joint operation between Kruger National Park rangers and Mozambique police has led to the arrest of two notorious rhino poachers - and now the success has been held up as an example of how the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park (GLTP) has improved, rather than compromised, security.
The two culprits, whose four-wheel-drive vehicle has also been confiscated, are suspected of being the leaders of a poaching gang that has killed several Kruger Park rhinos. They are now in custody in Mozambique, while their accomplices are being sought.
