A FORMER Scarborough man who emigrated to Canada in the 1960s has died suddenly aged 82, just five weeks after celebrating his diamond wedding anniversary.
Ronald Stear, of Guelph, Ontario, used to work for the Evening News as a linotype operator and later as a proof- reader.
Mr Stear was a member of the choir at the former St Thomas's Church in East Sandgate where his father, Ernest, was organist for more than 25 years.
