Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will link Georgia to Europe - Bezhuashvili

TBILISI. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The beginning of a project to build a Georgian stretch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway corridor is an "event of historic significance," Georgia's Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili said.

"Today is a truly historic day for Georgia, since an economic space, common with Europe, is being created," Bezhuashvili said at a ceremony in Tbilisi on Wednesday, being attended by Azeri and Turkish presidents Ilham Aliyev and Abdullah Gul.
