FITCHBURG - The national champions gave area basketball fans a preseason treat late last month at the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School gymnasium.

Notre Dame Prep, national prep school basketball champions in both 2006 and 2007, showcased its 2007-08 team with a skills clinic and intrasquad game.

Well-known area basketball officials Tim O'Brien and Gerry Flynn also explained some of the new rules in effect this season.
