ABSTRACT

This study was a cross-sectional, descriptive and comparative study conducted in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in the months of November and December 2001 in order to make a comparison between health districts stricken with cholera and districts not stricken with cholera with regards to well-known risk factors for cholera. Random samples of 979 and 441 participants were drawn from health districts that were not stricken with cholera and health districts that were stricken with cholera respectively.
