I DON'T IMAGINE that the editorial "True church" (Aug. 21) was intended to strike a dismissive note, but it did for me. Speaking about bishops and beliefs around communion, the editorial says: "Many Protestants don't hold to the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and no Protestant body (except for the Anglicans) insists on having bishops in apostolic succession."
Somehow "this statement left this Lutheran feeling left out. Lutherans do hold to a belief in the real presence ...
