WORCESTER - The heavy, wind-swept rain that served as the backdrop for yesterday's game between Worcester State and Westfield State forced both teams to abandon the pass and try to churn out a victory on the ground.

Pride was the name of the game in the NEFC Bogan Division finale for both teams with neither team headed for the postseason.

With former Clinton High star Drew Lyons leading the way, the Owls trudged off John F. Coughlin Field with a 7-0 win after amassing 204 rushing yards to the Lancers' 87.
