Confusing time for rescue services.

AN air sea rescue helicopter from RAF Boulmer and both Seahouses lifeboats were called out when reports came in of a hang glider crashing in the sea.

The incident was reported to coastguards by a concerned member of the public who saw two people in the water and apparently in difficulty.

Initial reports suggested the incident happened near Holy Island so Seahouses all-weather and inshore lifeboats immediately headed north. Further information was then received from the ...
