FORMER Sheffield-based singer Roisin Murphy narrowly avoided losing sight in one eye after an on-stage accident in Russia.
The performer, previously of local chart band Moloko but now a solo artist, severely damaged her eye socket after a slip during her show at Moscow's Ikra Club.
Roisin, who wrote much of her new album Overpowered with artists in Sheffield, was performing the track Primitive from the acclaimed new record when she hit her head on a chair.
