THERE was an entry of 1,008 cattle in this year's first two-day sale of suckler calves sold for members of the North East Yorks Suckled Calf Association on Wednesday and Thursday.

The quality of cattle on offer was probably the best ever seen at the market and many favourable comments were made by buyers on the continued improvement of the stock produced by members of the association.
