THE mother of a child at St Augustine's School has been praised for her work with its Parent Teacher Association.

Sam Conlon's son Alex left the school last year and his mum was the chairman of the school's PTA for five years.

She organised dozens of fundraising events to raise money for the school and, last year, the PTA raised more than [pounds sterling]2,000.
