THIS much-loved view of the entrance to a Coventry park is under threat from a tiny invader from the continent.
Coventry's finest collection of conker trees - horse chestnuts - at Coombe Abbey park are dying of the twin menace of leaf miner insect and creeping canker.
In the past three years, 25 trees have had to be axed and another five will be chopped down in the next year.
