Stocksfield win on back nine holes.
|
THE second Whitby Golf Club Ladies' Open Day was supported by 26 teams of four from around the county who enjoyed the benign conditions on a warm and pleasant day.
The winning teams were: 1 Stocksfield, 84 points over the back nine, 2 York 84, 3 Sandmoor 77, 4 Thirsk & Northallerton 75.
Similar conditions were enjoyed on Invitation Day when the team of Edna Stead, Doreen Richardson and friends scooped the first prize with Sheena Hamilton, Carol Ward and friends taking second.
Third place went to ladies' captain Barbara Knaggs, June Halley and friends…
