Stage shows threatened.

LOCAL theatre productions in a Stewartry garden were under threat this week when planners challenged the erection of a stage on land at Orchardton, Auchencairn.

The stage, consisting of a steel framework and white canopy, has been used throughout the summer for various productions in the Walled Gardens at Orchardton but the planning department informed the owner, Bill Barlow, that he is contravening planning policy by having the stage up full-time.
