Market research company EQ Group reported a strong recovery in its first half yesterday as key market research customers returned and the group won a number of new clients including The Post Office, Lloyds TSB, Age Concern, Zurich and Nikon.

The Halifax-based company said the improvement reflected the return to normal activity levels by a number of key clients. The group had a difficult year in 2006 when two of its biggest customers restructured their businesses.
