A JUDGE has called for guidelines issued to courts about deportations to be revised, describing current arrangements as unclear and "haphazard".

Judge Alistair McCallum voiced his frustrations during a hearing at Leeds Crown Court. He had anticipated having to recommend deportation for an Iraqi asylum seeker in Leeds who admitted working illegally.
