The president of Brittany Ferries has reaffirmed Portsmouth's importance to the company.
Jean-Marc Roue visited Gunwharf Quays signing a sponsorship agreement for the International Maritime Festival, which takes place in Brest, in Brittany.
Mr Roue was on board Brittany Ferries' tall ship Recouvrance, which was visiting from the French port to highlight Brest 2008.
