Chance to take part in raft racing event.

ORGANISERS of this year's Newport Raft Race are expecting it to be bigger and better than ever before.

The annual event takes place on Bank Holiday Monday and a variety of activities have been organised for all of the family to enjoy.

The event begins at 12pm, with a fun fair, magician, local music group, tombola and other games available, before the first race starts at 1.30pm.

So far 11 rafts have entered the race which gets underway at the motor...
