DESPITE a much-improved second half display Crawley Town left themselves too much to do and eventually succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Exeter City.

Adam Stansfield gave the Grecians a deserved half-time lead with a Bradley Thomas own goal on 57 minutes doubling the advantage.

However, the story could all have been so different had home defender Matt Taylor not produced an incredible goal-line clearance just minutes before Thomas' horror show.
