HUMBERSIDE Police is warning people to be wary of trusting people they meet online, after a Beverley woman was conned out of a large sum of money.

The money was taken by a man she had met at an online dating agency. The fraud was reported to Humberside police on Saturday September 8 and officers are investigating.

They say the growth of online dating agencies has meant that fraudsters now have a new way of attacking people's bank accounts, through their hearts.
