CHILDREN from a Scarborough school have been awarded certificates and medals after taking part in the Big Wild Read.

More than 50 pupils from Braeburn Junior School took part in the programme at Eastfield Library during the summer holiday.

They spent time in the library and read a variety of books as part of the campaign run by libraries across North Yorkshire.
