San Diego-based Alacrinet Consulting Services was born out of the dot-com bust and has used its partnership with IBM Corp. as a stepping stool to grow threefold during the past three years.

Alacrinet, an information technology consulting firm and reseller of Big Blue hardware and software, was started in 2002 by four founders to offer and implement value-added information technology solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses.
