The thing about South Africa's Namaqualand flower season is that it's not just about the flowers. Sure, carpets of yellows, blues and oranges can be seen on both sides of the road, covering the gravel and between the rocks, but doing "the flower thing" is almost as much about West Coast people who offer unique hospitality - from Langebaan and the West Coast National Park all the way north to Springbok and beyond.
