Nimbus CD Considering Eugene, Ore., as Factory Site.(Originated from The Register-Guard, Eugene, Ore.)

May 11--If Nimbus CD International Inc. builds a $35 million compact disc factory in Eugene, the medium-size CD maker will become the area's first employer founded by British nobility.
Nimbus recently announced that it's looking for sites in Eugene and three other cities in the West. The firm will chose a location by July, leading to the construction of a 110,000-square-foot CD plant this fall.
But Nimbus started half a world away - as an obscure classical record label in a castle 120 miles west of London.
