Oct. 1--One of the most valuable members of Garland Naaman Forest's program doesn't say much. But that's OK. Most of the players don't like him anyway.

He's at every practice, taking pounding after pounding, but never suits up for a game.

That's because it would be hard to load a 280-pound tackling sled onto a school bus.

Naaman Forest is 4-0, its best start since 2003, the last time it made the playoffs. Coach Bill Patterson said a tackling sled, which arrived one week after the end of last year's disappointing 3-7 ...
