Gregorian chants in Latin belong to the mysteries of the holy sacrifice of the Catholic Mass. Its use of Latin brings it outside of the mundane and produces a contemplative atmosphere. Even the characteristic pitch changes in chanting reflect the spiritual communion of man with God.
