Health center offering flu shots.

Sep. 14--The Pettis County Health Center will begin taking appointments next Wednesday to administer this fall's flu vaccine. Center nurses will begin giving the flu shots in October.
People may call 827-1130 for an appointment. The center, at 911 E. 16th St., also will give the pneumonia vaccine by appointment. Most people need one pneumonia immunization during a lifetime.
The flu vaccine costs $25, and the pneumonia vaccine costs $30. The center will bill Medicare and Medicaid, if recipients bring their identification. People with third-party insurance will…
