I FIRST MET MICHAEL YEATS (August 22, 1921-January 3, 2007) in May 1991. The Manuscript Society, an international organization of people interested in collecting, preserving and encouraging use of manuscripts in research, had chosen to hold its 1991 annual conference in Dublin, with pre- and post-conference meetings in Galway and Dublin.
