Qinghai soda ash project, located in Delingha Industry Park of the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai province, is under construction today. "A capital of RMB2.3 billion has already been put. The second-phase 900 000 t/a soda ash production line will be completed at the end of 2008. After the completion of the third phase in 2011, the capacity of soda ash will reach 2.7 million t/a in the Park. The Qaidam Basin is expected to become the biggest soda ash production base in Asia."
