Sep. 12--One point away from victory, Gig Harbor let the serve fly and waited for the Seahawks return.

Much to the Tides surprise, the cross-town volleyball matchup at Peninsula last Thursday didn't end with an excruciatingly long rally or in a fifth game tiebreaker that went to extra points. It ended on an ace, which in turn gave Gig Harbor a 3-0 victory over their Purdy rivals.
