Jerome Hyde, 80, of DeWitt, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007 at NYU-Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. A native of New York City, he had lived in the Syracuse area since the early 1950's. He was inducted into military service during WW II but was medically discharged because of a preexisting shoulder injury. In 1947, Mr. Hyde graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York University, with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Shortly afterward, he began his professional career at the New York City accounting firm of Glickman & Glickman.
