milestones
1907: Voters approve Tempe Union High School, once Tempe Normal School, now Arizona State University. It required more than an eighth-grade education to enroll students.
1908: The school conducts classes in rented space downtown while a school was built.
1909: Tempe High opens at the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive.
1953: Tempe High moves to the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Broadway Road. Two years later, the old site becomes home of ...
