TODAY sees the launch of a new stamp celebrating the return of red kites to North East skies.
Pictures of the spectacular birds of prey soaring over Tyne-side will soon be popping through letterboxes across the country.
The Royal Mail's red kite stamp is one of a set of 10 stamps of the UK's rarest birds.
