A recent request for small-batch ice cream recipes to use in smaller electric ice-cream machines motivated Penny Pennington of Livermore, Calif., to offer her delicious recipe for peach ice cream.

"This is the easiest and most basic I have ever found," she wrote. "It can be doubled, tripled or possibly even halved."

We loved the results from the batch we prepared in the test kitchen using an electric ice cream maker: "Delectable," one taster said. "This is one of the year's top recipes."
