The Child Labor Coalition is working to prevent child labor in India's rug manufacturing industry. The group had originally targeted import firms and specialty stores. Now, the Child Labor Coalition is targeting major home furnishing retailers, such as Ethan Allen, Pier 1 and Levitz. The group has a label for rugs from firms that do not employ children called the Rugmark. There are 11 Indian manufacturers that have been certified, 50 firms that have been rejected and 44 awaiting approval.
