A 22-month-old boy came to the dermatology clinic with a mildly pruritic rash present for 6 days (see Figure 1). The eruption began initially near his left axilla and over a period of 10 days it extended onto the inner aspect of his left arm as well as downwards on the left side of the chest and abdomen (see Figure 2). The patient's mother noted no improvement after continuous application of over-the-counter topical corticosteroids.
