GREELEY -- Skeeter and Poudre are together no more.

The two friends - inseparable to the end - were parted for good Wednesday after a wildlife biologist took Poudre, a 3-month-old pronghorn, away in a kennel.

His companion, a small black dog, possibly Pomeranian, stood by his companion until the end.

"That little dog stayed right with the pronghorn," said Larry Rogstad, the Colorado Division of Wildlife officer for the north Greeley district. "Oh my God, they were hard companions. He (the dog) wasn't going to give an ...
